Teen How to Draw Caricatures Workshop - Southeast Regional Library Garner, NC

Thanks to Southeast Regional Library in Garner, North Carolina for inviting me to come and teach a Caricature 101 Class to teens in their summer program series.

I had a packed room! I went over what a Caricature Artist does for a job, a little bit about my journey, a short demonstration of the basics of caricatures and then hands on practicing. 

I printed off a bunch of random faces from instagram and cut them into squares giving each student a face. I then put a timer on for 5 minutes and they practiced the outside in method with a black marker and then the inside out method. 

Everyone moved their faces to the right for a new face. We then went to 3 minutes. Everyone did great!
